
Glynis Nunn-Cearns OAM
Glynis Nunn-Cearns’ long and distinguished sporting career spans more than 30 years as an athlete, coach and administrator.
After her dual heptathlon gold medals at the 1982 Brisbane Commonwealth Games and 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, Glynis was granted the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to athletics.
She currently serves as Executive Director of the Australian Track and Field Coaches Association, Vice chair of the Gold Coast Academy of Sport. Glynis was the national youth development coordinator and managed a number of youth and junior Australian teams overseas. She also was a national selector of eight years.
A qualified secondary Phys Ed/English teacher and Level 5 coach, Glynis has also trained athletes for the World Youth and Junior Games, the Commonwealth Games, World Championships and Olympic Games.
