What are the dates of the festival?

You’re invited to take the plunge into Festival 2018 - 12 action-packed days of culture to celebrate the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Festival 2018 offers something for everyone, the young and the old, for the community and the arts aficionado.

You can experience music, theatre, circus, dance, ideas, visual arts and film from our corner and across the globe.

The festival is free for spectators, visitors and residents alike.

Where can I find the Festival?

The Festival 2018 action takes place at two main festival sites, Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, as well as an array of activations across the coast.

Festival 2018 at Surfers Paradise features the Main Stage program – 12 nights of specially curated concerts celebrating the Commonwealth and our local culture - as well as large scale installations and performances for the family to enjoy.

Festival 2018 at Broadbeach features an entire street - Surf Parade - of entertainment, including high energy, circus, dance and physical theatre on the Roundabout Stage as well as the Queensland Music Stage, a stage dedicated entirely to Queensland musicians.

Kurrawa Park will deliver the best children’s and family theatre, workshops and performances from around the world for the entire school holidays. There is something for everyone, children as 6 months old right through to the young at heart. All free!

The Festival will also entertain people journeying to and from sporting events, and will also spill out onto boardwalks, waterways, streets, parks, a hotel and other unexpected places across the entire coast.
