Truth to Power Café | Jeremy Goldstein for London Artist Projects (UK)
‘Who has power over you and what do you want to say to them?'
Over three nights, and before a live audience, 18 Gold Coast participants of all ages, beliefs and backgrounds have five minutes to respond to the question: Who has power over you and what do you want to say to them?
Speaking truth to power has its origins in anti-war pacifism, but is now widely accepted to mean saying something to those in authority or position of trust who don’t want to hear.
Is it to your parents, a sibling, a politician, lover, landlord, neighbour, sports trainer, carer, religious leader, boss, banker or simply your best friend?
It’s time to tell them the truth before it’s too late.
"The revolutionary potential of theatre at its best and most direct." The Guardian, UK.
