The Owl and the Pussycat | Little Match Productions (AUS)
You're invited into a giant green boat to help our loveable couple, the Owl and the Pussycat, reach their destination.
Based on the beloved childhood poem, this is a new musical work made especially for children and families. The show explores the universal themes of love, harmony and acceptance with live vocals, puppetry, interactive theatre and a troupe of musical Puffins.
There will be performances with Auslan translation at 2pm and 4pm on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 April.
About the creators:
Little Match Productions is an independent Brisbane-based company that creates contemporary musical performance works that traverse comedy-cabaret, opera, classical music and children's theatre. The company is passionate about exploring our collective humanity via its most primal and intrinsically expressive media - the voice. Over the past six years, Alicia Cush, Bethan Ellsmore and Penny Challen have developed a reputation for their unique ability to present classical vocal techniques in innovative contemporary contexts.
"They twisted the traditional opera sound into something a little experimental, a bit different, and a lot entertaining." Aussie Theatre.
The Owl and the Pussycat is also being held in Brisbane.
