The Children's Republic | Ben Landau (AUS)

Calling all children of the Gold Coast!

This is your chance to band together and make your own country. What will it be like? What rules will you set? What values are important?

Come and create the laws of the Gold Coast's first micro-state. You'll get to design its national flag, constitution and coat of arms.

On Sunday 15 April come at 1.45pm to gather your flags and join in the parade through to Surf Parade with the Karawatha Marching Band. The presentation will commence at the Roundabout Stage from 2.30pm.

So far Children's Republic's have been created by over 30,000 kids in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Will kids make better rulers than adults for the Gold Coast?

Recommended for ages 5+ years. Entry is free. No bookings are required. Participation is welcome at anytime between the advertised times at Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach.

About the creator:
Ben Landau designs thrilling tactile adventures for kids and adults. He challenges and investigates the world according the children; adults assumptions and expectations of children, and ultimately puts kids in control! Ben makes adults into kids, and kids into artists.
