Games Medals Tally
The Kingdom of Swaziland is a small landlocked country in the east of southern Africa bordered to the east by Mozambique and elsewhere by South Africa. It joined the Commonwealth in 1968 and made its debut appearance at the Edinburgh 1970 Commonwealth Games. Swaziland has not missed a Commonwealth Games since.
Its first medal was a bronze medal won by Richard Mabuza’s 2:12:54:4 men’s marathon performance at the Christchurch 1974 Commonwealth Games. This was followed by Leonard Makhanya’s silver medal performance in the men’s light flyweight at the Edinburgh 1986 Commonwealth Games.
The Brisbane 1982 Commonwealth Games and 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games also produced bronze medals in boxing for Swaziland.
