Games Medals Tally
The Islamic Republic of Pakistan joined the Commonwealth in 1947 and re-entered again in 1989 after leaving the fold in 1972. Lying north of the Tropic of Cancer and west of India, Pakistan made its debut at the 1954 Commonwealth Games, at which it won six medals.
Pakistan competed at five consecutive games before a 20-year absence following the Edinburgh 1970 Commonwealth Games. Pakistan returned to the Games Family in 1990 and competed at the Auckland 1990 Commonwealth Games. It has participated at every Games since and increased its overall medal tally to 24 gold, 24 silver and 21 bronze medals. Pakistan won three silver medals and one bronze medal at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
