Games Medals Tally
The Republic of Malta, an island nation consisting of an archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea, entered the Commonwealth in 1964 but made its debut at the Cardiff 1958 Commonwealth Games.
Malta has attended 12 Commonwealth Games and achieved medals in the sports of judo and shooting. At the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, Malta won silver and bronze medals in shooting. It participated in athletics, lawn bowls, shooting, squash and wrestling at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games and shooting, judo, triathlon, athletics, squash, lawn bowls, gymnastics, weightlifting and wrestling at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Formally recognised in 1936, the Malta Olympic Committee is responsible for organising the island’s participation in the Commonwealth Games.
