Guernsey

Guernsey is the second largest of the Channel Islands and is situated some 128km south of the English mainland. It lies adjacent to the coast of France and the Bailiwick of Guernsey includes the smaller Channel Islands of Alderney, Sark, Herm and Jethou.
Since its debut at the Edinburgh 1970 Commonwealth Games, Guernsey has attended every Commonwealth Games. It won its first medals at the Brisbane 1982 Commonwealth Games before Adrian Breton claimed a gold medal for Guernsey in the men’s individual rapid-fire pistol event at the Auckland 1990 Commonwealth Games.
Thirty-eight athletes represented Guernsey at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games in cycling, shooting, swimming, squash, athletics, lawn bowls, badminton, judo and table tennis.
