Its medal haul includes gold and silver medals in weightlifting at the Cardiff 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, gold medals in athletics and cycling at the Kuala Lumpur 1998 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal in boxing at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games.
Representing Barbados, Shane Brathwaite won a bronze medal in the men’s 110m hurdles at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. He was also the flag bearer in the Opening Ceremony.
