What you need to know about the ticket off-sale period19 Oct 2017
With GC2018 under six months away, the finishing touches are being put on the largest sporting event in Australia this decade, and the largest the Gold Coast has ever hosted.
As we prepare for the anticipated final major release of tickets, GC2018 tickets will go off-sale from midday (AEST) on Friday 20 October until Monday 20 November.
Here is everything you need to know about the short ticket off-sale period.
Why are tickets going off sale?
There has been overwhelming support and interest in GC2018, with more than one million tickets purchased to date.
So even more people can Share the Dream in April 2018, the off-sale period allows GOLDOC to identify as many additional tickets as possible as venue seating plans are finalised and tickets from Games delivery partners are returned to the general ticket sales pool.
When will I be able to buy tickets?
Once the seat assignment process is completed, the final major release of tickets will be available via the GC2018 website from midday (AEST) 20 November.
Ticket sales will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
What tickets will I be able to buy?
Until the process has been completed, GC2018 is unable to confirm specific session availability, but the finalisation of seating designs and seat assignments will provide a great opportunity for fans to secure tickets for some of the most in-demand sessions that have been oversubscribed since the initial ticket request phase.
When will I receive my seating allocation?
During the four-week off-sale period, all ticket sales will be assigned specific seats across all sections. Seat allocations will start to be made in mid-November.
